Student activist Siavash Hatam arrested while in exam session

GVF -- Student activist and former director of the Islamic Association of Students at Bu-Ali Sina University, Siavash Hatam, was arrested by Intelligence Ministry agents on Tuesday.
According to the Daneshjoo News, Siavash Hatam was arrested on Tuesday 23 November and taken to an unknown location.

Hatam was also arrested once before, during the unrest the followed Iran’s rigged presidential election in June 2009. He was later released on bail and forced to relocate to Tehran and attend Shahid Beheshti University instead of his usual place of study Hamden.

Relatives of Hatam have also said that his arrest took place while he was taking part in an exam at Shahid Beheshti University. Following his arrest, Hatam was taken to his home where the intelligence agents inspected the house and confiscated his computer as well as his personal possessions before taking him to an unknown location. When asked by the Hatam family about the reason for his arrest, Intelligence Ministry agents simply replied, “to ask a few question.”
